Paradise of Fruit

Pure water and fresh air are abundant in Iida; allowing for a variety of farm products, such as pears, peaches, grapes and cherries, to be grown artistically both in taste and appearance. “Ichida Persimmons”, a nationally famous brand of dried persimmons, is catching on as a delicacy abroad as well.
Various kinds of apples are also produced in Iida, with “Fuji Apples”, the leading apple brand in Japan, listed at the top. As its Apple Tree-Lined Avenue indicates, apples are very popular in Iida and have become the symbol of the city.
