Healing and relaxing hot springs in Iida offer weary tourists a blissful moment.
Located on a hill at the site of Iida Castle in central Iida city and commanding a fine view of all its surroundings, Hotel Sangitei has a hot-spring bath called “Iida Castle Hot Spring – Castle in the Sky”.
The Tenryukyo Hot Springs area has numerous resorts with classic hotel facilities whose baths protrude over the gorge.
Hamlets outside of Iida city also attract a lot of visitors with the variety of hot springs features they offer such as “Kagura-no-Yu” in Toyama-go, whose water has a high salt content, and still others that are set in the open where visitors can savor the nature of the surrounding mountains.
